#40daysoflight: tulip magnolia explosion

We've had an incredibly mild winter here in Houston -- even by our relatively mild standards -- which means that spring is coming astonishingly early.  My neighbour's tulip magnolia tree exploded two days ago, and since they never last, I ran out yesterday morning to grab some shots.

These beauties make mornings a whole lot brighter, man.

Today's a travel day -- off to San Diego, in search of west coast light.  More soon.
