My friend Xanthe Berkeley, she of the wonderful time capsules, has inspired me to record this day, since it is a cool date and all. I'll try to play a bit with video, but I'm still so new at it, and am not sure if I'll shoot anything worth sharing; however, I thought I'd sort of live-photoblog my day in the meantime, so you can see the wild, exciting life that is Chookooloonks.*

I do love this idea, though:  I love the thought that years from now (assuming the Mayans are wrong), I can come back to this random day of my life and see what it looked like.  So here are the first shots that I took this morning.  Keep checking back during the day, and I'll keep updating with more wild, exciting photos.  You know, from my wild, exciting life.

*  My life is not wild and exciting.  But it's my life, and I'll keep it.

And with that, friends, I'm calling it a night.  Thanks so much for spending this day with me -- taking these photographs was such a fun exercise in mindfulness.  I think I may have to do this more often.

Have a great evening, friends.
