day 2 in ethiopia: companions, cops and coffee

We've hit the ground running -- the crew has arrived, and yesterday (Sunday), I "woke" up at 4:45 a.m. (I didn't sleep much, jet lag is a bear), and didn't stop until 1 a.m. this morning. I didn't even have time to take many iPhone shots, but here are 3, and a SoundCloud of my experience so far (including a run-in with a cop!).

These little shots are just a sneak peak of what's to come. I can't wait to share the real shots with you when I get back.

I'm in Ethiopia at the kind invitation and expense of The ONE Campaign, a nonpartisan, advocacy organization dedicated to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. ONE works to convince governments to invest in smart programs that help eliminate poverty and preventable disease in a sustainable way.
