it's IN.

This evening, I turned in my manuscript!

Of course, turning in a manuscript doesn’t mean that I’m done with it. It means that it’s at a stage where I’m ready for my publisher to pick it apart, suggest passages that should be removed or expanded upon or added to. In other words, there are at least two more rounds of edits to go.

But it does mean that I’ve put it in the best shape I can, to minimize what my publisher might think needs changing. It also means that I’ve managed to say all I think I have to say about the subject.

Writing this book was an adventure. Unlike my two previous books, this turned into something that I didn’t expect. I learned things that I really had no clue about prior to meeting some of the experts that I spoke with. And what’s really interesting is that even though my previous book was about activism, writing this book made me furious. Ageism is everywhere, yo.

But also? This book made me really happy — in fact, despite my fury, I’m more excited and optimistic about my future than I’ve ever been, and I’ve always been excited about my future.

All this to say that I can’t wait to share Radiant Rebellion: Reclaim Aging, Practice Joy & Raise a Little Hell with you. Out next fall, my friends. ❤️
