the mango tree (77/100)

Soon after we moved into this house, Marcus planted a mango tree in our back yard. I don’t imagine it will ever actually bear fruit — Houston winters, such as they are, will likely make sure of that — but on days like this, when we’re feeling the effects of the rain bands from Hurricane Delta, it sort of reminds me of home.

(We’re not expected to get much more than minimal rain from Hurricane Delta; that said, the storm’s path is predicted to be virtually identical to Hurricane Laura’s, only about a month ago. Please keep those folks east of us in your prayers and intentions in the coming days.)
