this was a good week
Leaving Houston.
This was a good week!. I’m currently in California (again! third time this month!) for a speaking gig, but this is my last speaking gig of the year — and then I can focus on moving my family back into our house! I spoke with our builder again this week, and he’s still saying that we can be back in our home in 3 weeks. At this point, our house still doesn’t have a driveway, a patio, flooring, built-in shelves, or electricity, so I’m skeptical, but he’s firm in his belief that we can do it. Fingers crossed!

Anyway, because of the constant travel and speaking gigs, I’m afraid I don’t have a lot of links for you today. I’m so sorry. What I do have are a couple of awesome videos, as well as a few images I took out of my airplane windows yesterday. (I’m a sucker for airplane window shots. I fly constantly, and I never top marveling that I’m thousands of miles above the earth traveling at hundreds of miles per hour. I mean, when you think about it, it’s insane.)

So here are a couple of reasons why this was a good week:
• Why you shouldn’t save your best outfit for special occasions. I think I mentioned that I have been in Stasia Savasuk’s Style School (the learnings have been revelatory), and this video captures a lot of the spirit of her learnings. Celebrating myself with clothing? Yes, please.
• The historic origins of the dap. I didn’t realize that the dap had such historical roots. Really interesting.
