this was a good week
Sorry for skipping last week, folks — it was a good week, it was just also a full week. This week was a good and full week, too. Here’s why:
• This week was busy, but calm — and I’m winding everything up today to clear next week, so I can exclusively work on my book. The deadline is the week after — send me good writing juju!
• I say Thanksgiving should be a full week of comfort food this year — God knows we’ve earned it. These recipes from the New York Times are a good start.
• This story of my sweet friend’s grandmother’s death (?) is insane.
• This sweet Storycorps animation made me smile.
• I have a thing about miniatures — just me? These, from a post-apocalyptic universe, had me spellbound.
• These young women playing the shamisen are incredible.
• These winners of the Weather Photographer of the Year competition are spectacular — some of these images don’t even look real!
• And finally, this week’s song: I’ve been listening to this song on repeat, because honestly, if this book I’m writing had a soundtrack, this song would be the title track. Click here or the image below to enjoy.
