pomegranate memory

Surprisingly busy Saturday, yesterday -- time got away from me, and I didn't have time to shoot light for today.  So I pulled an image from the archives.

I took this photograph about 2 years ago.  Pomegranates always remind me of my father's mom -- she has a tree in her backyard.  I remember the first time I had one:  I was about Alex's age, and she brought one in from her tree.  When she cut it open, I thought it was the weirdest-looking fruit I'd ever seen.  And I loved how the seeds popped in my mouth when I bit into them.

I've always had a soft spot for pomegranates.
