in memoriam
I am writing far too often about horrible things that are happening in the world around us. The slaughter perpetuated by terrorist Stephen Paddock in Las Vegas this week is no exception: I pray and send love and light for and to the fallen -- the families of the over 50 people who were killed and the over-500 people who were injured.
(I will admit that I'm also feeling rage: anger for the hesitation that most media outlets seem to be having about calling this an act of terrorism, outrage that guns are still as accessible as they are, and absolute fury that events like this aren't just "isolated incidents" anymore, but are becoming the norm. But those are blog posts for another time.)
Love on each other, friends.
Soundtrack: Imagine, as performed by Herbie Hancock and friends.
