Spark Statements
A Spark Statement is like a mission statement — a declaration of what ignites you to do good and make light, in your work, in your community and in your world. It’s an expression of your purpose and an affirmation of how you want to move in the world.
MY spark STATEMENT
Despite the darkness, there is always light,
and it exists in each of us:
no matter our race or national origin (because of it),
no matter our gender (because of it),
no matter how we love (because of it),
no matter our age (because of it).
Using everything I am and have been — my culture, my talents, my education, and my experience —
I convince the skeptical of their uncommon light,
illustrating the inherent power we each have to make the world a better place.
May my works and images shine bright enough to extinguish
the darkness of negativity, violence, and discrimination,
and instead illuminate, positivity, peace, kindness & joy.
May I model living an expansive life, by accepting all opportunities for cultivating growth, play, and above all, adventure.
