a little graphic encouragement
Today, I'm headed to Las Vegas for the WPPI Conference, a conference and trade show for wedding photographers.
(To be very clear, I'm not a wedding photographer. Originally, I was going solely to assist my friend Maile (she of Epiphanie Bags), since she's one of the big exhibitors at the conference. But then, without knowing that I was going to be there, Squarespace contacted me to see if I'd be interested in speaking in their booth! I'm pretty excited that I'm going to be hanging out with one of my best friends, and one of my favourite companies. It's going to be a good week.)
So yesterday, I was running around getting all the things I need before my trip -- travel-size toothpaste, other toiletries, you know the drill -- and I came across this awesome window:
Uncle Funky's Daughter is just talking about hair, but honestly? Seeing it felt just like the go-get-'em-girl I needed before my first speaking gig of the year.
Wish me safe travels, friends. I'm hoping that at some point I'll get some cool Vegas shots -- I haven't been since I was about 12 years old, traveling with my family. I'm not a big gambler, but I have to think The Strip is going to provide a few good photo ops, yes?
