celebrating 10 years

I'm still in Washington DC, taking a little break to let you know that next week, Marcus and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary.  In some ways, it's shocking that it has already been 10 years -- how did the time go by so fast?  But in some ways , it's sort of shocking that it has only been 10 years:  in the past decade, Marcus and I have lived in 3 houses, 2 countries, became parents, changed careers 5 times, and visited something like a dozen countries.  We've had a very full, exciting, wonderful 10 years together.

We feel like this time (and our 8 years as a family of 3) is worth celebrating in a big way.  So tomorrow, the three of us are headed out to an undisclosed location for 14 fabulous days of concentrated family times.  We're supposed to have wifi where we're headed (so #instacamp will continue, of course), and I'm planning on leaving a few photo clues along the way, but mostly I'm  going to just focus on my family, and how lucky I am they're in my life.

More on our travel very soon.  I'm stupid-excited about all of this.

Song I'm a believer, as performed by Smash Mouth.  This version, from the Shrek soundtrack, is Marcus' and my song.  We are dorks.
