#naphopomo day 26: easiest cranberry sauce in the history of cranberries

I am not a huge fan of cranberry sauce, and yet, every Thanksgiving (and Christmas) I am in charge of making it, because my mother loves it, and she loves this recipe.  Thankfully, it is the easiest thing in the world to make:

•  1 package of fresh cranberries
•  1 apple
•  1 orange
•  1 cup of sugar
•  1 blender

Peel and chop the apple, peel and seed the orange.  Throw them in a blender along with the cranberries and the sugar, and blend until apple sauce consistency (you'll probably have to add the ingredients gradually, to make sure it gets thoroughly blended.  Unless, of course, you have a much better blender than I do.  This is entirely possible, because I'm rather cheap).  Let sit for a few hours.  Serve at room temperature.

Voilá.  Easy, delicious, and far more appetizing-looking that sliding that gelatinous stuff out of a can.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends.  If you celebrate, may you have a wonderful day with family and friends, and may you eat until you have to undo the top button of your trousers.

As is right and good.

Heads up, friends:  registration for my new ecourse Advent of Light ends TOMORROW! If devoting a few minutes of peace to yourself every day during the first 24 days of December seems like a lovely thought, then this is for you:  it's sort of an audio/visual "advent calendar" with audio meditations, downloadable images, and a daily date with your journal.  Join me.
