well, it’s not far down to paradise

For reasons that will become clear in the book that I’m in the middle of writing, Marcus and I decided to look into a new project.

And today, the first day it really feels like fall, we headed south to Seabrook to take an introductory course, just to see if it’s something we might be interested in.

We checked in at the office, and then headed down to the dock.

(Now, y’all know I don’t do well with large lizards. Yikes.)

And then we hopped aboard for our introductory sailing course.

Absolutely gorgeous day — and we were sold.

And in a few weeks, once my manuscript is turned in, we’ll begin our official training.
