the strip
Another crazy day today, resulting in a quiet night of room service, and chilling back at the hotel (related: Maile and I are the most boring Las Vegas tourists ever). But I did run out this evening to get a couple of Las Vegas Strip shots. A few thoughts:
a) For some reason, it's always the elderly at slot machines. This worries me. Are they on fixed incomes?
b) Vegas really does feel like Disneyland For Grown-Ups. You know, without all the wholesomeness and moral lessons. (But with the same fantasy characters and thrilling rides.)
c) When you hear police sirens on the strip, you can't help but look for Catherine Willows.
Hoping tomorrow we'll go out for dinner. And maybe even stick a few dollars in a slot machine.
